Bill Richardson at the DNC

Thought this speech deserved a rerun here, the more people who see it the better is my motto. Hat tips to Do You Want New Wave or Do You Want the Truth and Bill Richardson for President.

Richardson addresses...pretty much everything, even the fact that I love most of our dem candidates, I just love Bill more. Go Bill. You'll love him, really, you will.

Thanks for providing this. The Governor opens well, but begins to drone. He's a potentional VP candidate or Sec. of Defense?

That's odd, I found it anything but droning.

Was a little long but he actually had something to
say.

I was watching Jon Stewart tonight and he was capping on the DNC speechmakers. Naturally they all came off looking like total buttclowns. What was interesting was that Richardson was the only candidate he didn't spoof. Not one word.

Dunno if that is a good sign or bad but I'm hoping to see him turn up on the show.

Thanks for the link, and go Bill!
I bookmarked your blog, so I'll be back. Any site that rants against assmonkeys is good by me. :)

I like him to, but I read a lot from New Mexicans about not liking him. The again, Texans liked Dub, so go figure.

I've been finding a lot of folks from his state not liking him as well... it's hard to tell, especially after considering poobah's observation...

Sigh, looks like I'll have to get inspired soon and write a post about growing up in NM which was in many ways much like a 3rd world country.

I'd like to hear what the complaints are, some may be valid but I can hardly address them if I don't know what they are. I DO know Richardson has brought the state forward about 100 years.

The only ones I know of are:

1: he's getting a lot of resistance for wanting to ban cockfighting

2: he's caught a lot of flak for extending employee health coverage benefits to domestic partners and supporting same-sex marriage.

3: he vetoed an eminent domain bill because it was a piece of legislative poop...basically told them go back and do it right.

I don't know for certain but being from there I can hazard a guess he has upset the "Old Ranching Family" establishment that has had a stranglehold on the state for the last 100 years, so yeah, I bet he has pissed some people off.
