Rumor flying that infamous Maricopa county Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been arrested for...DUI??? I am sooo going to laugh my butt off if this one turns out to be true.

On another note, welcome back, again. On yet another, did you see that AFL-CIO Dem debate tonight? I *love* Bill Richardson, as I've made oh-too-clear on my blog, but fer godsakes, when is he going to learn how to debate? Jeeeeeezus. The last one was actually a glimmer of hope from him, debate-wise, but this was pretty blah. He's inching up in the IA and NH polls, but gawd almighty, Bill, get a debate coach....
Richardson is a smart guy. He make Chris Dodd look like a burned out light bulb. But who else dsoes he outshine? IMO, the big surprise of the night was Joe Biden: he's really falling, grasping, gasping. Pretty soon he will look as pitiful as Dodd.
Everyone else is beautiful: Kucinich, Edwards, Obama, Clinton (grudgingly) and Gravel (not present).
I could be more specific... But have to move on...

Sheriff Arpaio sounds a really warm-hearted guy, judged by what Wikipedia says about him. A, stereotype of just about everything once considered tough and macho, but now just plain ignorant and contemptible, about the American mid-West male. John Wayne would have loved him, no doubt. I do hope it's true. Though, given his position he'll probably get away with it.
I hope someone bends the constitution to throw him in an all pink jail cell like he does to people every day.

NYM, did you happen to catch Richardson answering the question about whether homosexuality is a choice or hereditary? It was painful to watch him flounder around like that. I'm sorry to say it, but he might as well hang it up.
It *was* painful and the man had better learn how to debate, but I don't think he has to hang it up yet because he keeps getting better numbers in NH and IA. No one, besides us freaks, is actually watching these debates yet.
But I have, for the moment, closed my checkbook to him until he starts debating better, because sooner or later all these verbal blunders are going to cost him and I'm not sending him any more money until he gets it together.

Yeah, I saw the Richardson bit. He's pretty much done for. I'm about sick to death of all of them. Let's invade Bulgaria or something, m'kay?
